i am frustrated. great design, even most good design, is a classist pursuit. target can offer handbags designed by devi kroell, but in the end, they're poor plastic relations of the real thing--the bags everyone wants in the first place.
this is a blog devoted to the difficulty of reconciling the desire for things that are beautiful and well made with the reality of financial constraints. what do you do if you can't settle for "good enough"? why is design within reach still out of reach? can't there be good design for all?
this is my journey to find out.
